DIAMOND PET RESORT POLICIES
We
strive to provide the highest quality of pet care possible.
We
understand and respect that your pets are valued members of your
family and we take very seriously the responsibilities
of caring for them.
ARRIVALS AND DEPARTURES
Your pet may be checked in or checked
out during any of our hours of operation- 9:00 a.m.–12 noon and 4:00–7:00
p.m. every day. Guests are charged for the day of arrival, regardless of
the time of check in. If your pet departs between 9:00 a.m.-12 noon, there
will be no charge for that day. Departures between 4:00–7:00 p.m. will be
charged for that day of boarding.
DEPOSITS AND CANCELLATION POLICIES
We require a deposit of $25.00 for each
reserved run during holidays, which can be applied to boarding costs at
check-out. You do not have a confirmed reservation until your deposit is recorded.
You may send a check or keep a credit card on a secure file with us.
Cancellations for holiday reservations
must be received 3 days prior to the arrival date. For example, if you are
to arrive on Wednesday, you must cancel on Sunday by 7:00 p.m.
Cancellations after that time will be charged a non-refundable fee of $25.00.
Holiday times are busy, so please let us
know as soon as possible if you need to cancel your reservation so that we
may accommodate those on our waiting list.
HEALTH AND SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS
Your pet's health is of the utmost
importance to us. All pets must have current shot records on file and be
flea-free. Flea baths will be given at the owner’s expense to any dogs or
cats that arrive with fleas or ticks.
The following vaccinations are required
and must be administered at least
one week prior to check in:
Dogs: DHPP, Rabies, and Bordetella (kennel
cough)
Cats: FVRCP and Rabies
We suggest that you have your
veterinarian fax your pet's shot records to us as soon as you make your
reservations. Our fax number is (937) 962-9441.
We cannot accept
your pet without proof of vaccinations.
We require all new clients to furnish
vaccination records prior to the boarding date. Your reservation is
not confirmed until we receive the vaccination records.
MEDICATIONS AND
MEDICAL CONCERNS
We will administer your pet’s medication
at no charge; however, please be advised that we do not give injections
of any kind.
We cannot admit any pet with stitches,
bandages, a cast, head cone, or splint. These pets have special needs that
can be better served in a veterinarian/hospital setting. We cannot accept
any pet that is pregnant or in heat.
SPECIAL PUPPY AND
KITTEN PRECAUTIONS
We do not board puppies or kittens under
the age of six months. This policy is in place to protect your pet, as
their immune systems are not as strong as an adult dog or cat. In addition,
we recommend that all puppies and kittens under the age of one year (and
accepted for boarding) receive their vaccinations at least two weeks prior
to check in.
EXERCISE
Whether you choose to have your pet in
our play yard to run with new friends or in our outdoor grassy runs to
relax or in the spacious covered outdoor exercise runs, all of our guests
get plenty of time for “business breaks” and stretch time! Our facility
is designed to allow us to offer your pet significant periods of time for
breaks regardless of the weather conditions. Pets are given 3 breaks each day, each between
45-90 minutes long. In extreme heat or cold, we take our guests out more
often for shorter periods of time.
If you would prefer a shortened exercise
time because your pet has health or medical issues, then we can
customize the “break” schedule to meet your pet’s needs. Please advise the resort staff when you check in!
